I was born into poverty, raised in the sewage
Streets always be apart of me, they made me the truest
And even when my days were the bluest
Never ran from adversity, instead I ran to it
Fear ain’t in the heart of me, I learned just do it
You get courage in your fears right after you go through it

T.I. is a classic case of rags to riches, but there's something about his lyrics that separates him from other rappers: realness. He left school but kept learning from the streets and this kept him real. He grew from his adversities by facing them head on. Another lesson was that you get courage by facing your fears. I find that to be very true. He's a living example of what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. Because he has fearlessness in his heart and learned to express his life through beats, he’s reaping the rewards and living a way better life than most with humble beginnings. From poverty to prosperity, who wouldn’t feel on top of the world?
