In May of 2009 we launched HipHopInspires.us to share the inspirational power of hip-hop with the world. Since then, we’ve served close to one million quotes to visitors in 154 countries across 6 continents. From Angola to Afghanistan, Britain to Bahrain, Cameroon to Canada, these lyrics have proven universally inspirational.

Along the way, we’ve received many moving stories sharing how the lyrics on the site have positively influenced visitors’ lives. We have found that these stories are often as powerful as the lyrics that inspired them.

Born from this experience, we are excited to announce that we are working on hiphopinspires.us/voices, a living collection of voices from across the world answering the question, “How has hip-hop inspired you?”
